Hockey goalie gear?!?! help?

hi, im a HUGE hockey fan and love to watch the sport! ive never played though only street hockey with some friends....im 15 and will be a sophmore next yr.... I really want to try playing the sport... Am i tooo old to start? id love to be a goalie since i feel like itd be a fun/great position. if i did play next year where is a good place to find quality goalie equipment for a low price... i know its very expensive but im willing to save up.... PLEASE ANSWER ALL QUESTION... thanks!!!
