What to do if your legs are too sore and stiff to squat correctly?

My legs were still sore from my workout on Tuesday, and no matter how much I stretched and warmed up, I couldn't get my quadriceps and hamstrings to loosen up enough for me to squat properly. I couldn't even get through my warmup sets without falling on my butt and having to dump the bar.
