Is it wrong to want 1 day a week to yourself?

my boyfriend and I have been dating about three months. i spend time with him everyday until he goes to work, sometimes I visit him at work (he works at a bar thurs to sat), but he gets out really late so sometimes I don't see him later that night. But I seriously see him everyday. I told him on saturday, that I might not be able to see him on sunday, and he completely freaked on me, we basically broke up because of it, he told me it was my fault we broke up, and if I wanted to win him back today I'll have to go find him...but I can't because today is the day I told him I can't......is he crazy? or am I the one in the wrong. I haven't had tooo many boyfriends so maybe I'm missing a rule or something. i thought guys liked to have their space every once and a while??
